Economical to Extravagant Living

Athens is a major college town, and with that said, there are tons of living options that are close to campus. Whether you want an apartment, a house, or a townhome, Athens has it, and you can rent it. Below are just some of the options for great living spaces in Athens. Each complex is located in a different place, with different amenities and different policies.

755 Broad: These are luxury apartments but only offer 1- and 2-bedroom options with custom furnishing or unfurnished options available. It has Jacuzzis, a fitness center, 24/7 security, and many more major amenities!! 755 E Broad St, Athens, GA 30601.

909 Broad: This complex has many different rooms, from studios to 1-4-bedroom apartments that are two stories, all with the option to make it furnished or keep it unfurnished. 909 has many awesome features, like a gym, pool, and arcade, and it is within walking distance to downtown and campus. 909 E Broad St, Athens, GA 30601.

Accent Athens: These are brand new 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, 3-bedroom townhomes, that include all major appliances but no furnishings. They are slightly farther off-campus, so I recommend getting a UGA parking pass if you plan on living here. 100 Still Creek Ln, Athens, GA 30605.

Archer Apartments are 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments and come stocked with all major appliances. A dog park, pool, and fitness center are also on-site. You probably cannot walk to campus from these, so a parking pass is more than likely needed.  210 Spring Ct, Athens, GA 30601.

Baldwin Village Apartments: They have 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments available but are not furnished. They are extremely close to campus and give residents parking. 475 Baldwin St, Athens, GA 30605.

Chadsworth Commons: These are standard 2-bedroom townhomes that are located directly off campus behind Oglethorpe House Dining Commons. They offer free parking to residents and give residents all major appliances. Walking to campus is your best bet from these apartments. A parking pass is unnecessary.210 E Cloverhurst Ave, Athens, GA 30605.

Farmer’s Exchange: These are located right at the heart of downtown Athens and offer 1-6-bedroom apartments and townhome styles. There are cameras for security and extremely safe locking techniques that allow students to feel as secure as possible. You do not need an on-campus parking pass to live here because you are less than a 5-minute walk from the Arch bus stop. 580 E Broad St, Athens, GA 30601.

Georgia Heights: The GA Heights apartments are above the stores in downtown Athens and are extremely convenient to Lumpkin Street, North Campus, Terry, and Tate. They offer 1, 2, and 4-bedroom apartments, and all 1-bedroom apartments can be furnished or unfurnished, while the 2- and 4-bedroom options only come furnished. They have a pool and fitness center available for all guests and deck parking underneath the apartments. 150 W Broad St, Athens, GA 30601.

Ikon Athens: These are 4, 3, and 2-bedroom townhomes within a gated community. Ikon advertises its safety features due to the code needed to pass through the gate to enter the community. These are also different because this complex has a specific UGA bus stop and a weekend bus route. They also have a pool, fitness center, coffee bar, and so much more available. 314 S Barnett Shoals Rd, Athens, GA 30605.

Mathis Athens: These apartments are brand new flats with studios, one bedroom, and two bedrooms available. They are right in between campus and 5 points but are not in walking distance to downtown. Residents get parking and all major appliances but must furnish their apartments independently.  1510 S Lumpkin St, Athens, GA 30605.

River Club: They offer 2, 3, and 4-bedroom apartments that are fully furnished. There are also nice amenities such as a fitness center, a clubhouse, Wi-Fi everywhere, a swimming pool, and many different sports courts. An on-campus parking pass would be needed if you chose to live here due to its distance from campus. 1005 Macon Hwy, Athens, GA 30606.

Riverbend Club: These are 2- and 4-bedroom apartments fully equipped with appliances and kitchen needs but not furnished. Living here also gives you access to a pool, fitness center, basketball court, and 24-hour clubhouse. These apartments are far from campus, so I recommend an on-campus parking pass. 355 Riverbend Pkwy, Athens, GA 30605.

Serene at Riverwood: Riverwood offers a wide range of studio, 1-bed, 2-bed, and 3-bed apartments and townhomes. They are pet-friendly but are much farther away from campus. Living here would require an on-campus parking pass because there is no way you could walk to class, and no UGA busses service this complex. 130 Cole Manor Dr, Athens, GA 30606.

The Connection: These apartments come in 1, 2, 3, and 4-bedroom styles but are not furnished except for major appliances. These are within a gated community, and safety is important here. There are also plenty of amenities offered exclusively to residents. It is located a few miles off-campus, so a parking pass is necessary if you choose to live here. 255 The Preserve Dr, Athens, GA 30606.

The Flats at Carrs Hill: These are 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments that are fully furnished and are all-inclusive to the available amenities at the complex. A huge pool, sports courts, fitness centers, and much more are available to residents. These are also within walking distance of campus and downtown! 592 Oconee St, Athens, GA 30605.

The Haven Athens: These houses are 2-6 bedrooms with all major appliances included. There is a pool, ballpark, and fitness center available to residents. It is about a 1.5-mile walk from campus, so getting a parking pass might be a good idea if you live here. 2350 Prince Ave Suite 3, Athens, GA 30606.

The Lodge: These are 2-bedroom apartments, and even though they are located far off of campus, they have a shuttle to campus and to downtown from the complex, so a parking pass is not necessary. It is also gated, with a pool and many outdoor-related amenities. 211 North Ave, Athens, GA 30601.

The Mark: They offer studio apartments all the way up to 5-bedroom apartments that are furnished. The Mark is one of the nicest places to live in Athens and comes with majorly desirable amenities: a gym, a rooftop pool, an indoor basketball court, a golf simulator, a racquetball court, a computer lab, an arcade, free tanning, and so much more. It is located between downtown and campus, so most students walk everywhere. 130 Hickory St, Athens, GA 30601.

The Redland Apartments: These have 1, 2, and 4 bedrooms flats, suites, and townhomes. There is a 24-computer/printing lab, fitness center, tanning bed, pool, and many more desirable amenities. It is about 2 miles from campus, so a parking pass is recommended.  505 Riverbend Pkwy, Athens, GA 30605.

The Standard: They offer studio apartments all the way up to 5-bedroom apartments and are all fully furnished. The Standard is located in downtown Athens and is extremely popular among students due to the rooftop infinity pool and lounge, gaming room, yoga studio, pet-friendly rule, rec center, fitness center, printing center, and so on much more. This complex is within walking distance of campus and the Arch bus stop and is also extremely convenient downtown. 600 N Thomas St, Athens, GA 30601.

The Station: These are houses out on South Milledge Ave and come in 3 different plans of 4 bedrooms. These houses are not furnished but have all major appliances included and alarm systems. They also have access to an Athens Transit bus stop but are not within walking distance to UGA bus stops. 100 Davis St. Athens, GA 30606.

The Uncommon: They offer 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 4-bedroom apartments and are fully furnished. The Uncommon is also downtown, with plenty of desirable amenities and within walking distance to downtown and North Campus. 165 E Dougherty St, Athens, GA 30601.

Towne Club Condominiums: Towne Club is located off of Milledge Ave and has 3- and 4-bedroom options available. There are newly renovated townhomes and the option to be furnished and unfurnished, depending on which fits you best. There is a Milledge Ave bus stop about a quarter of a mile from this complex, and you are within walking distance to campus; it is just a little bit farther than others. Although you are very close to campus, these are not considered to be within walking distance of downtown. 260 Springdale St, Athens, GA 30606.

Waterford Place: These are 3- and 4-bedroom townhomes and 4-bedroom flats that are not furnished. Waterford is within walking distance to both campus and downtown, with tanning beds, a pool, and a gym available for residents. 393 Oconee St, Athens, GA 30601.

Whistlebury Apartments: These apartment flats and townhomes only offer 4-bedroom styles that are not furnished. They are closer to downtown than campus but still within walking distance to North Campus and the Arch bus stop. 86 North Ave, Athens, GA 30601.
