Brunch is a Miami staple. If you’re in the mood for some chicken and waffles, you’re in luck. If you’re in the mood for some benedict, you’re in luck. Whether you are a UM student or some visiting family, here are some of the best brunch hot-spots in the area!

Coral Gables/South Miami

Bulla Gastrobar– Bulla is a tapas gastro bar with a spectacular brunch. They offer a $27 fixed price three-course menu or a la carte. They also offer a massive drink menu which includes bottomless mimosas and Bulla’s homemade sangria. Bulla is located right next to Miracle Mile in downtown Coral Gables.

Taco Craft– Taco Craft offers a fun brunch on Sundays with a DJ and bottomless mimosas. Also located in the heart of South Miami, Taco Craft’s menu highlights Mexican cuisine and a Miami flair. Taco Craft is reasonably priced and so are their bottomless mimosas!

The Biltmore– The Biltmore is a classic Coral Gables staple. This landmark hotel offers a legendary brunch. While on the pricier side, this lavish buffet is worth it for any special occasion. The fixed-rate for brunch is $90 per person however this includes unlimited (alcoholic) drinks, sushi, and all-you-can-eat caviar and shellfish. The Biltmore is the perfect brunch spot for visiting parents to take their UM students out for a celebration.

Threefold Cafe– Threefold is a cute little brunch spot right across from Sunset Place. Threefold has two other locations, one in Coral Gables and one in Miami proper. Their avocado toast is amazing and made on local Zach the Baker bread. All of their ingredients are locally sourced. Threefold offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

Town Kitchen and Bar– Town is located in South Miami. Their breakfast menu offers a wide variety of classic brunch foods including a make your own omelet! Town also offers bottomless mimosas and bloody marys. Their food is well-priced and the location is perfect for brunch close to campus

Whisk– Whisk is cozy with a warm atmosphere. Located in the heart of South Miami, the highlights of the menu include the Gnarly Biscuit Sandwich and Low Country Shrimp and Grits. The menu is a southern/Miami fusion. Whisk is reasonably priced and a great option close to campus.

Coconut Grove

Glass and Vine– While known for their elaborate dinners, Glass and Vine also boast a delicious brunch menu. Highlights include a Crabcake Benedict and a raw bar. Glass and Vine is located in Peacock Park and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. They also offer the ever-popular Frose (frozen rose) cocktails.

Green Street Cafe– Green Street is a UM student’s brunch staple. Well-priced and in the heart of the Grove, the food and location make this the perfect brunch spot. Their bloody marys are delicious and so is any pasta dish on the menu. Green Street does not take reservations so if you have to wait for brunch, there are cute shops and galleries in the surrounding area.

Lulu’s in the Grove– Lulu’s is right next to Green Street and equally delicious. Lulu’s expansive waffle menu is best paired with one of their signature brunch cocktails. A favorite is wake’n bacon, a bloody mary with bacon-infused vodka. Lulu’s is very well priced for the quality of the food.

Brickell

American Social– American Social is a staple brunch spot for UM students. Their menu includes a raw bar and egg station. Seating is both inside and outside by the water. AmSo has an extensive specialty cocktail menu, as well as brunch classics mimosas and bloody marys. Often on Sundays, there will be live music or a football game on.

Amour de Miami– Amour de Miami is a hidden gem in Brickell. This french bistro offers daily specials including free bottomless mimosas on the weekend. The only requirement is the purchase of an entree, then the champagne and orange juice start flowing. Amour also has a secret menu that includes a burger with the avocado as the bun and bacon pancakes.

Batch– Batch has an intense but incredibly delicious menu. Highlights include their Pecan-Whiskey Donuts and gnocchi mac and cheese. They are a Gastrobar so they offer bottomless mimosas, bellinis, and sangria as well as other signature brunch cocktails and alcohol. Batch emphasizes using fresh, local ingredients.

Zuma– Zuma offers a unique but pricey option for brunch. This Japanese restaurant in Brickell has a fixed price brunch that includes champagne and Japanese inspired brunch dishes. Located on the Miami River, the view perfectly accompanies the Zuma experience.

Wynwood

The Butcher Shop– The Butcher Shop is a fun beer-garden located in Wynwood. Their specialty is burgers and their brunch menu, while small, packs a punch. The Butcher Shop also offers unlimited Bloody Igors (named after the founder Igor Niznik), Mimosas and Sangria as well as a ton of beers on tap and signature cocktails. They also offer home-made sausages and pierogies.

Michael’s Genuine Food and Drink– Michael’s Genuine is located in the trendy Design District. The diverse small-plate menu is split up by savory and sweet in addition to a raw bar and “snacks” section. Recommendations include the Crispy Rice Cake and the donut. In addition to a great brunch, Michael’s Genuine also offers an extensive cocktail and wine menu.

Plant Miami– Plant Miami is a vegan restaurant located in Wynwood. Their brunch highlights are their crepes and superfood bowls. Plant Miami is also a kosher option as all their food is plant-based. Plant Miami is also known for its sustainable wines and cocktails. Due to the plant-based nature their menu is seasonal and subject to change.

Miami Beach

Malibu Farm– Located in the Eden Roc Hotel, this Sunday Brunch is a South Beach jewel. Malibu Farm has a farm to table menu with classic brunch favorites and brick-oven pizza. Dine oceanside and enjoy their signature fruit-themed cocktails or some Frose!

Planta– Planta is Miami restaurateur and night club owner, Dave Grutman’s new vegan restaurant located in South Beach. Some menu highlights include the Bianca pizza and banana pancakes. Planta is also known for its vegan sushi like the crispy rice or dragon roll. Make sure to try the Chocolate Terrarium for dessert!

Rusty Pelican– Located on the Rickenbacker Causeway, this trendy brunch spot is a must-eat in  Miami. Voted Best Spots to Brunch by Zagat, the menu boasts a range from sushi to Fruity Pebble pancakes to crab cake benedict and more. While on the pricier side, the waterfront view alone makes it worth the visit.
