Getting Ready For the Big Season!

Yes, it’s spring, and yes we mean football. It’s crazy I know! But it is springtime Canes football spring practice!

Miami announced its spring practice schedule, which includes the return of the intrasquad game. The University of Miami will hold its spring football game on April 14 at Hard Rock Stadium. This will be the first spring game played at Miami’s home stadium since 2014. The Spring Game is also the only session that is open to the public.

Because the Miami Hurricanes play in a professional NFL stadium, all fans are required to follow stadium rules when it comes to bringing bags, purses, etc. in the stadium. Any guest not following these guidelines will be asked to return those items to their vehicle before entering the stadium.
Below are the NFL approved bags fans may carry into the stadium:

One bag that is clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and does not exceed 12” by 6” and 12” or a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

In addition to one of the clear bags noted above, fans may also carry in a small clutch bag or purse approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap.

An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at Gate E designated for this purpose.

Diapers and wipes can be carried in a clear bag. Each member of a family, including children, will be able to carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse, providing ample storage capacity.

Miami enters the 2018 campaign following a strong 2017 season in which the Hurricanes posted a 10-3 record – UM’s first 10-win season since 2003 – and won the ACC Coastal Division title for the first time in school history. Head coach Mark Richt was named ACC Coach of the Year and Walter Camp National Coach of the Year. The Hurricanes also played in their first Orange Bowl since the 2003 season.

The spring game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Admission and parking to the game are free. More information will be released in the coming weeks.

Don’t forget to dress in your Canes attire.

Or check out the collection of Gator attire at Fanatics, Fansedge or Champions on Display.

The Hurricanes kick off spring practice on Tuesday, March 20. Here is the list of the 13 practice sessions that are open to the media.
