Eight years ago, my husband passed away unexpectedly. If this experience taught me anything, it is important to have ALL of your legal forms. Life became complicated enough, but without his will and health directives, having access to financial institutions, his medical background, and business assets would have been unimaginable. • The passage of time. Legal documents should be reviewed every three to five years or if there is an important change in your life, such as the death of a spouse.

TBH, my daughters should have their legal docs created now that they are in their twenties.
