Just Desserts

Did you know that that the word desserts is stressed spelled backward?  Well, there will come a time when all a college kid wants is something sweet.  Whether it’s a late-night run or celebrating a test or a project getting done, the need for satisfying ice cream, cupcakes, or yogurt is real.  Let’s face it, there really doesn’t have to be a specific reason for dessert, right?

Here are some of our favorites:

BOBACUP – on Fowler Ave.  They have authentic bubble teas, slushes, and snows.

Brusters Ice Cream – on Bruce B Downs.  Their many flavors of ice creams are made fresh daily on-site.

Cold Stone Creamery – on Fowler Ave. Here you can design your own creation of hand-mixed toppings and add-ins.

Cookie Munchers: 11842 Bruce B Downs Blvd., because who doesn’t like cookies? And they deliver.

Felicitous (on 51st) – This is a dog-friendly coffeehouse offering drinks, paninis, and desserts.

Dough Nation – Located on N. Tampa Street, this edible cookie dough cafe started as a small booth at Gasparilla. Owned and operated by Metropolitan Ministries, one of Tampa Bay’s premier and most trusted nonprofits, all proceeds from your purchases go directly to feed the hungry in Tampa Bay through the Ministries’ hunger relief programs.

Happy Cow Frozen Yogurt – on Bruce B Downs in Wesley Chapel.  They have yogurt with mix-ins, gelato, sorbets, soft-serve Italian ice, and ice cream.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice – Located on S. Dale Mabry Highway, serving up your favorite Italian ices. Try their Gelati, the perfect combination of Italian Ice and ice cream

Nothing Bundt Cakes – on N. Dale Mabry.  They have yummy bite-sized cakes to larger and layered cakes for special occasions.

Small Cakes – serves cupcakes and ice cream. Try some of their 18 signature flavors

Sugardarlings Cones & Cupcakes – in State Rd. 54 in Land O’ Lakes.  Their amazing cupcakes come in tons of flavors and are baked fresh daily.

So Sweet Treats – This is a delivery-only service that makes cupcakes, cakes, chocolate covered pretzels, and custom cookies.  Contact them at 813-9-CAKE-01.

Twistee Treat – You can’t miss the ice cream cone-shaped building on New Tampa Blvd.  They have scoops, sundaes, and shakes.
