Alumni Weekend & Homecoming November 5-7, 2020 is a campus-wide event that takes place once a year on the Coral Gables campus, and is a time that all alumni and friends come together to celebrate being a ‘Cane!
This is a very special time on campus when all alumni are invited back to enjoy all the Alumni Weekend and Homecoming festivities. In addition to the reunion celebrations, other events include the Audrey R. Finkelstein UM Experience, Alumni Lounge, the Homecoming Parade, Pep Rally, Boat Burning, Fireworks, Pregame Celebration, and the Homecoming Game. Friday Night Parade – Who doesn’t love a parade? Sebastian leads the way as UM’s President, the Homecoming Court, student club and organization floats, and of course the Band Of The Hour entertain the crowds! The route winds through Stanford Drive where students and alumni watch from locations lining both sides of the street and culminate around Lake Osceola where a pep rally ensues and the famous Boat Burning and fireworks cap off this eventful evening.
Two and a half hours before the big game on Saturday, join fellow ‘Canes at the UM Alumni Association Pregame Celebration. Enjoy fabulous food, drinks, and a special pep rally as you prepare to cheer the Miami Hurricanes on to victory against the Duke Blue Devils. Alumni can purchase pregame celebration tickets or complete game packages, which includes tickets to the pregame celebration and the homecoming game. Round-trip shuttle service from the Newman Alumni Center to Hard Rock Stadium is available. Shuttles will depart from the stadium 30 minutes following the conclusion of the game.
