United We Fan – Colors

Every year, College Colors Day is celebrated on the Friday before Labor Day. HaveUHeard how College Colors Day was established? In 2004, it was founded by the College Licensing Company (CLC) as a way to get fans to rep the apparel of their favorite college or university for the day. Yes, the licensing company, which reps over 200 colleges, created this Day of Spirit because most likely they are the licensing company behind many of the branded items you purchase.

But, and I readily admit, when it comes to showing my school pride, I am all about the orange and blue. Which is the point of this day; to wear your pride and show your loyalty to the university that you feel an attachment to. While football may be a little different this year with some schools passing on games and others playing but with limited fan attendance, perhaps it is even more important than ever to show off our affinity for your college team.

The theme this year is “United We Fan” to emphasize the power of togetherness that shared fandom delivers and to show that while we may all be missing fall sports, the unity and pride of fans is stronger than ever according to CLC.

We’ve got some great outfit suggestions as well as some fun tailgate essentials.

Just link to your university or even directly to Fanatics, one of our favorite places to grab college merchandise.

Some of the revenue generated from sales are returned to the colleges to support student and campus projects so this is a great way to support your favorite collegiate team.
