Setting a Floral Theme Table for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is just around the corner. What better way to celebrate Mom than by treating her to a floral-theme table? Picture this: a whimsical garden oasis right in the heart of your dining room with a sprinkle of love in every detail. I’m sharing some simple yet fabulous ideas to make this Mother’s Day a celebration she’ll never forget!

Getting Started

First things first, let’s talk flowers. Mother’s Day and Flowers go together. You don’t need to be a florist to create a stunning centerpiece. If you’re feeling adventurous, head to your local flower market or backyard and pick out her favorite blooms. Or, you can decorate with artificial flowers. Think vibrant,  cheerful, and fragrant —I am using shades of pink florals accompanied by baby breath!

To add dimension, I used these hanging tissue paper flowers. (#commissionearned) After all, it is a floral-themed celebration, and you can never have too many flowers. They come unassembled, but after the first one, I figured out how to get a round, symmetrical look.

Place Setting

Now, onto the pièce de résistance – the place setting. Channel your inner Martha Stewart and dazzle Mom with your DIY prowess. Start with a table runner as your canvas, then add a pop of color with floral-patterned plates and napkins. For a special personal touch, I’m also including some Mother’s Day ecookies for the moms at each setting. Even the cookies are floral shaped.

I went with the Pink Peonies table setting, including the plates, cutlery, and napkins.  My vision was to create an eclectic, shabby-chic vibe as unique as Mom. Don’t forget the finishing touches— some vintage-inspired stemware and maybe even a few candles for a touch of romance.
