What are your plans?
The Fourth of July is just around the corner. What better way to celebrate America’s independence than with a sparkling tablescape? The Red, White & Beautiful theme is perfect for creating a patriotic ambiance that will show off your American spirit. From classic Americana motifs to modern twists on traditional designs, there are endless possibilities when setting the table for this holiday. I’m sharing tips and tricks (an links) for creating a jaw-dropping Red, White & Beautiful Fourth of July Tablescape that will have everyone talking long after the fireworks. So grab your sparklers, and let’s get started!
July 4th was my husband’s favorite holiday. So much so that one year we spent the 4th in Washington, D.C. I highly recommend adding this to your bucket list. His favorite part of the day was hearing the Declaration of Independence. The girls were young, so I think their favorite was getting ice cream. But for me, just being in our nation’s capital was an experience from the Capitol Fourth concert to the fireworks and, of course, the parade. On this trip, my daughters saw fireflies for the first time… by far the cutest reaction ever.
We, and by we, I mean he, also had some big parties at our house with a ridiculous amount of fireworks. I’m not a huge fan of fireworks, nor were my neighbors, but they were pretty awesome parties.
The Perfect Patriotic Table
Nothing says a red, white & beautiful fourth of July tablescape than creating an aesthetically pleasing and patriotic table setting for your Celebration. Start with Sophistiplate’s red classic stripe runner. Incorporate pops of red and blue through Sophistiplates’s Red, Striped, and Blue collection. It’s the perfect patriotic collection for your party.
For the center of the table, I added garland. Many of my tablescapes use Mason Jars. They are so easy to paint or fill with holiday decor. For the July 4th tablescape, I went with the large Mason jars and painted them blue and white. Next, use a star stencil to paint over or paint stripes. You can tie red and white twine around the band. They’re a fun DIY project (or you can buy them on Amazon). You can add patriotic stems and flags for a red, white & beautiful look.
I hung red paper lanterns to add depth and more patriotic decor. A patriotic star balloon and some small plastic American flags completed the look. You know I love upcycling. I found July 4th beads and star silly straws in my house from 2020. I added fresh white flowers to add a touch of elegance. You can also use flowers in hues of red and blue.

Perhaps celebrating at home is more your style. Personally, I love having a small group of friends over. We sit by the pool and enjoy fun summer drinks. It’s an adult gathering, so chilling out with beer, White Claw, Truly, and this Frosted Watermelon Rosemary Frosé from Half-Baked Harvest is part of our celebration. I plan to surprise my guests with fun patriotic drink holders. I selected the Red White & Booze one.
Perhaps you are heading to the beach. Grab some fun summer footwear (and support your favorite sports team) and chair umbrellas. Two friends got these cool cabanas to protect against the sun if you spend the day at the beach.

Red, White & Blue Attire
When my daughters were young, we would head to Old Navy for 4th of July t-shirts and outfits yearly. Now, they shop weeks in advance for the perfect outfit. Mostly it’s about red, white and blue. Personally, I like the swimwear from & other stories. For an upcoming trip and July 4th, I bought their shell embroidery bandeau bikini top and bottoms. You probably have your favorite brand of denim shorts. I grabbed these at Zara last week. I gravitate toward a mid-rise fit, and these fit perfectly. Any red, white or blue top will go. If you’re looking for a themed top, these tees from Jane are fun!
