The Year of Pink
I’m embracing pink with my Pretty in Pink Galentine’s Day tablescape. It incorporates two trends that are having a moment… pink & bows. The color pink is associated with femininity, playfulness, and innocence. 2023 was the year of pink, primarily due to the success of Barbie. Personally, until my adult years, I shied away from pink. Blush pink was the closest I got to wearing or decorating with pink. After this tablescape, I may have to add some more pink to my wardrobe.
Grateful For My Girl Squad

I’m single, as are many of my girlfriends. At this point in my life, I have to say that I agree with Candace Bushnell. I’m a big Sex & The City fan. I love and appreciate the friendship between Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha. Many of my closest friendships are over 40 years long. My girlfriends and I lean on each other. We are there for the tough times, the happy times, and the complicated times. I cannot imagine not having my girlfriends. Showing my appreciation on Galentine’s Day, and any day, is my way of expressing how important they are in my life.
Décor
Pink & Bows are the theme of my table. Pink bows, black bows, white bows,… me adding bows to everything because it’s trending. I also love the color black. I know it is not a very Galentine’s Day choice. That is until I found this xoxo paper table runner.- (#commissionsearned). You can find all of the items on my Amazon list.
Table Setting
In early January, I grabbed the pink plates, matching bowls, the table runner, and the Prosecco 187 ml bottles. Based on my experience designing tablescapes, you need to start early. Oftentimes, I will shop right after a holiday for the following year. From there, I added in the table accessories from Amazon. As each week progressed, I purchased additional items along with what I purchased in the past until the table was complete.

For all things party, this is a great website. I have been buying my tablescape decor from this vendor for many years. It started with their charger plates, which are priced very competitively. But they sell for all special occasions. They ship very quickly; the turnaround time for my orders has been under a week. If I was going pink and girlie, the white vintage chargers were a perfect holder for the pink plates.
Since I had so many silk rose buds, I rolled some craft paper into a cylinder adorned with a bow. I also filled some bud vases I had with paper fluff and the rose buds. Larger vases were filled with candy kisses and pink M&M’s in the baking cups.

Miscellaneous Decor
I filled some small bud vases with white and iridescent paper fluff for the silk flowers. You can find the paper at places like JoAnn or Michaels. The marble stand is also an item I have had for years. Similar ones are found at Food52, Sur La Table, or William Sonoma.
My go-to store for Valentine’s Day specialty candy is HomeGoods. I did grab these mini Valentine’s heart sugar cookies from Etsy.
