Mother's Day Gifts

You want to do something nice, try these gifts!

Mother’s Day 2021. I know my daughters will want to get me something even though I tell them they do not need to buy me anything. That evokes a laugh so I  try to pick items that fall within a reasonable budget. I am sharing my list of suggested Mother’s Day gifts to get your mom this year. Take a peek at the list below.

It’s the Smaller Things: Unique Greetings

From cards you can design on your own to 3D cards to Mother’s Day cards, don’t forget that sometimes a card goes a longer way than a gift.

This past year, I signed up for Hallmark Crown Rewards. It is free to join (and you get a $5 coupon just for joining). They’ve got great Mother’s Day cards!

You can create your own Mother’s Day gift or greeting card with Canva. Use the code 4EVERYMOM20 to get 20% off and free shipping

You can’t ever repay mom for everything she does but you can thank her. Greetabl is great because there is a huge variety of options (and budget range). The Greetabl boxes are art-worthy to start and can even be personalized with your own photos. They have awesome products priced anywhere from $4 and up. You can also add a gift card to retailers like Starbucks, Target, and Nordstrom. And you get 15% off your first order when you sign up with your email.

Lovepop Cards

They have an extensive collection of Mother’s Day pop-up cards.  From blooming floral designs to cute and cuddly critters, you are sure to find the perfect card for your mom. You can also personalize your card by uploading a photo and adding a custom message for mom. Mother’s Day photo cards for the win! Send her a Lovepop card for Mother’s Day with a photo of a special memory the two of you share together. Are you stumped on what to write in a Mother’s Day card? Check out their blog, The Lovepop Journal, for some unique and meaningful message ideas. No matter what, she’s sure to love her Lovepop card almost as much as she loves you!

Etsy is my go-to place to find unique and creative items from handcrafted pieces to vintage treasures. Here you will find some really cool mother’s day cards, jewelry, terrarium kits, ceramic coffee cups, and plates to one-of-a-kind home decor all for reasonable prices.

Creative Treasures

Mother’s Day Bouqs flowers or plants. make a beautiful gift. And you get 20% off your order when you give an email address. If you have an American Express card, check to see if it is listed in their rewards. Mine gave me $20 back on a $65 spend.

Minted.com – Pull at mom’s heartstrings with this heart snapshot mix or choose one of their really cool products made by independent artists.

Story Worth – This subscription includes a year’s worth of story prompts about your mom’s life. The prompts are sent in an email and you digitally upload the response with any photographs. At the end of the year, it is turned into a hardcover book. I love this book that I gave to my mom because every week I learn something new about my mom’s upbringing.

Yoga Gifts

If your mom loves yoga or is into working out, perhaps a new outfit or accessory will be just what she wants. Personally, I have been looking at adding a yoga blanket and a bag for my yoga mat. I  like the cork collection from Yoloha. My other go-to’s for athletic wear are Athleta, Fabletics, and Lululemon.

Cooking Gifts

If you’ve got a mom who loves to cook, they will definitely be inspired with a $40 gift subscription to NYT Cooking.

Perhaps she needs to replace some pots and pans. I replaced mine this year with the GreenPan Nonstick Cookware Collection from Food52. I have to say, I love them! These nonstick pans are PFOA_free and metal utensil-safe. And, they are oven friendly, work on any stovetop, including induction. Plus Food52 has some great recipes.

Perhaps a cake, pie, or cupcakes will brighten her day. You can order from your local grocery store through Instacart or Shipt.

Digital Gifts

Some of us may not get that gift in time for whatever reason. There’s no shame in that but you can still print an e-certificate. Pick a store your mom loves or even grab a gift card at CVS, Walgreen’s, Walmart, Publix… most retailers sell them for retail stores, restaurants, movies, spas and more.

Make Sure You Call or Visit

In fact, when I asked many of my friends what they want for Mother’s Day, almost every one of them said they just wanted to spend it with their kids. I get that. My young adult daughters, who have been living with me during the pandemic, will be moving out in the next few months. Although I am happy that we can all move on with our lives, I am going to cherish each day I get to spend with them.
